Biography

As I begin my graduate school journey at the University of Iowa, I'm excited to learn to use single-cell RNA sequencing to address a wide range of questions in the neuroscience field. During my first rotation, I’ve explored using this technology to identify subtypes of neurons within brain regions involved in appetite regulation. I look forward to my 2nd and 3rd rotations where I’ll join labs that are using this intriguing technology to investigate a variety of unique topics of interest. During these rotations, I hope to obtain the necessary skills and experience to implement sc-RNA-seq into future research for years to come.
