NSCI 6265

The NSCI 6265 Neuroscience Seminar Series provides a weekly forum for research presentations by faculty, graduate students, and invited guest speakers of national and international distinction. The seminar is attended by students in the Neuroscience Program, faculty, and guests from departments and programs across the University of Iowa, fostering an engaging environment for scientific exchange. Thoughtful discussion and active participation are encouraged.

The seminar series is directed by Professor Seth Tomchik, who oversees speaker selection to ensure a consistently high-quality program featuring diverse and impactful neuroscience research.

A hallmark of the seminar series is its emphasis on student-faculty engagement. Faculty and invited speakers are introduced by a Neuroscience graduate student, who provides both a brief overview of the speaker's research and a personal introduction.

Seminars are held on Tuesdays from 4:00–5:00 p.m in GH E331. On the fourth Tuesday of each month, seminars are extended until 5:30 p.m. and are held in Biology Building East (BBE), Room 101 to accommodate additional discussion and networking opportunities.
