In the Hefti lab, I study the development of Alzheimer's disease in the adult human brain.  My work focuses on the study of beta-amyloid in relation to tau. Specifically, how does tau interact with beta-amyloid, and what may be mediating this interaction.  To examine this relationship, I utilize techniques including but not limited to immunoprecipitation, cell culture, and genome editing.
