Biography

Angela is studying how sleep facilitates sensorimotor development. Specifically, she is studying how the cerebellum learns to integrate emerging sensory and motor signals for the purpose of error detection. She is expanding on previous work in the Blumberg Lab which demonstrates how myoclonic twitches-- a hallmark of active sleep -- generate discrete corollary discharge and proprioceptive reafferent signals.
