My name is Kelsey Payne, and I hold a B.S. in Psychology & Neuroscience. I'm currently pursuing my PhD in Neuroscience studies at the University of Iowa. I am interested in psychiatric multimodal research, with a particular interest in research investigating the efficacy and mechanisms of action of psychedelic therapeutics in treating psychiatric disorders. My long-term goal is to contribute to translational, applied psychopharmacological research to help advance drug development for the treatment of psychiatric disorders.

Kelsey joined the Neuroscience program in August 2025 and is currently a first year rotating student.
