Dr. Joyal’s outstanding dissertation exemplifies the highest standards of scientific inquiry and innovation. As the recipient of this honor, she will serve as the University of Iowa’s nominee for the Council of Graduate Schools/University Microfilms International Distinguished Dissertation Award, a national competition recognizing exceptional dissertations across the country.
