Amit Bhatt, senior at Iowa City West High School, competed in the third and final round of the USA Brain Bee National Championship Competition on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Research Tower at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Amit wrote that his participation "...in the 2025 Iowa Brain Bee and later in the 2025 USA Brain Bee, were invaluable experiences that added rocket fuel to my interest in neuroscience—thanks to great mentors from the Neuroscience Graduate Program—and have motivated me to continue to further explore this field after graduating from Iowa City West High School in June 2025. I greatly appreciate all the time and effort that you and your team invested in providing such an excellent platform for all high school students in Iowa."
