Extreme resolution human neuroimaging in the context of neurodegenerative disorders

Lab

My research program is focused on extreme resolution human neuroimaging in the context of neurodegenerative disorders, specifically developing and deploying techniques to image postmortem human brains on the scale of ~100 microns. To this end, part of my research program is geared toward developing and improving neuroimaging and statistical methods. My lab is currently focused on deploying these methods and techniques in Spinocerebellar Ataxia and juvenile-onset Huntington’s Disease. In addition, I am the director of the Iowa Neuroimage Processing Core within the Department of Psychiatry, where we offer  euroimage processing services, tools, and training; we are currently in the planning stages of developing a course or series of workshops focused on neuroimaging methods for students, faculty, and clinicians.
