Fbx2: Novel Mechanisms for Glycoprotein Destruction and Links to Hearing and Memory
Biography
Understanding the cellular mechanisms of how neurons deal with aberrant proteins and the development of therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative diseases. Specifically, I am interested in how a unique class of ubiquitin ligases recognizes misfolded glycoproteins and targets these aberrant proteins for destruction by the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway.
