My research interests include understanding how molecules on the molecular level can impact function on the systems level. Particularly, I'm interested in the role ion channels play in determining membrane excitability. I currently work in a laboratory which is focused on understanding respiratory physiology and chemoreception, and how mechanisms on the cellular level play an important role in this system.
