Biography
I study the role of two L-type calcium channels, CaV1.2 and CaV1.3, in the brain. These channels have been associated with a risk of a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders including autism, schizophrenia, and mood disorders. My current project is focused on the role of CaV1.3 in the cerebellum. I am using histological and behavioral approaches to better understand the role of CaV1.3 expression in molecular layer interneurons of the cerebellum.
