Research Interests

Social interaction is an essential and integral component of human lives. I am interested in understanding the areas of the brain involved in social interaction and collaboration. To do this, we study the performance of patients with selective focal brain lesions on a variety of social tasks. I am also interested in the neural basis of disorders where social interaction is impaired, like autism.

The Neuroscience program at the University of Iowa gives us a stellar education in both molecular and cognitive neuroscience to allow us to be well-rounded scientists.
