My current research activities are aimed at assessing the effects of prefrontal cortex damage on emotion regulation. In particular, I'm interested in better understanding the neural basis of emotion regulation and the impact that emotional dysregulation can have on social functioning.
Living in Iowa City
I have been very happy with the research opportunities available at Iowa. The program includes faculty who are very well-respected in their field and who are committed to providing the best training possible for their students. Also, Iowa City is a great place to live that offers plenty of options for fun outside the program and brings together an eclectic mix of people with a wide range of backgrounds and interests.
